As we all know, history, especially fashion history, repeats itself every so often. at this stage in my life, I find that I’m falling more in love with the 50s era style of clothing. I was super happy with this vintage inspired dress that I wore this Sunday. It is a deep, crimson red with black and white polka dot insets at the bust and in the skirt. There are also two rows of buttons at the waist that really made room for an hourglass figure. To get a bit more of a rockabilly vibe, I used a lovely petticoat to make it really fluffy. This is my first time wearing a petticoat and I could not be more excited.
I opted for short hair with this look as I wanted all the attention on the dress. I did accentuate the style with a small, red clip in hair flower. I kept my makeup simple with a pop of color on the lips using the MAKEUPFOREVER Acrylip #401, a lovely long lasting deep red shade. I totally had to wear my lovey Tamaris T-strap heels with this dress. They are the perfect heels to pull together this vintage inspired look.
