This past Sunday was amazing. What to wear on Easter was a no brainer this year due to the weather being just perfect. The sun was out, but the cool breeze made it feel just amazing. It was the perfect day to remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So I looked for happy colors that would be suitable for the occasion.
Many persons would opt to wear white, but I chose a more feminine look. I went for a midi length scallop hem peach skirt and a floral peplum top. In my opinion, peplum tops do amazing things for a curvy girl as it slim the waist and accentuates the hips. I almost wore black shoes, but I thought that would make the outfit a bit dark, so I went for a neutral, camel color.
I kept my makeup light and sweet. I pulled out my Too Faced Sweet Peach palette for a little romance on the eyes and kept my hair very conservative. As for my jewelry, the it was no question about what to wear for Easter. I put on my favorite double strand pearls and pearl studs wrapped in pink flowers. To add a bit of arm candy I wore some gold jewelry on my hands and a gold watch. As for my handbag, it’s from my favorite Ostrich print collection from Dooney & Bourke.
What it comes to what to wear on Easter, I would say go for what makes you feel good. If you want more of a feminine look, choose light, but bold colors. If you want a bold look, go for metallics like gold and silver.
