Here’s a random fact about me: my grandfather was a sailor. He owned a mailboat that took cargo throughout the Islands of The Bahamas. I went to the Potter’s Cay dock today in New Providence to see if there was anything interesting to use in my Sunday outfit of the day. At first I thought to myself, how can I use the dock when my sandals have flowers on them? It’s like bringing a flower by the sea! Once I saw the boats, they reminded me of my grandfather and I knew I had to incorporate them some how.
The entire outfit is around my lovely tan heels. They have a square heel and some beautiful white, floral embroidery on them. They are a lace up design, but because I went to church in long jeans, I wore the straps around my ankles. To balance out the outfit, I wore this lovely white blouse. It has a flowing bow in the front that is adjustable. I kept the jewelry at a minimum wearing just some gold mesh hoops and two midi rings. Of course I had to have some color. I wore a gorgeous limited edition red lipstick from MAC Cosmetics’ Archie collection call Ronnie Red. My eye makeup is very subtle with the eyeshadow in Woodwinked from MAC Cosmetics all over the lid. I did not do much with my hair as it’s too hot to do anything elaborate, so I wore a basic pony tail.
