Amazing creatives at my first planner meet up with the Planner Ladies of The Bahamas
There is a growing interest in the planner community. It seemed to spike early last year and I was all in. I had been an Erin Condren user since 2010 during my college years, but I never knew how big the planner community really was. Once I returned to The Bahamas, I was surprised with an invitation from Antja Humes, Meet Up Coordinator, to attend my first planner meet up. I was excited that there were other ladies in the land of sun, sand, and sea that shared the same interest in planners, crafting and let’s face it, awesome sticker love as I do.
This was my first ever planner meet up and I was nervous. Once I arrived at the venue, I was greeted with warm smiles, hugs and a table full of planner goodies. The cold weather and gusting winds did not hinder their joy to be surrounded by all things planner related. Games of planner bingo were played and some amazing goody bags filled with unique planner stickers, organization items and Erin Condren swag were enjoyed.
There was also what I would call a “Re-love box” where the ladies were able to exchange washi, stickers or any other items from their collection that can be re-homed and re-loved. So much fun was had that a new hashtag for the group was created. All of the ladies are professionals in their fields and from the intricate layouts in their planners, it’s a great relaxing outlet and of course, a way to stay organized.
I am glad to have meet such inspiring ladies who share the same love for creating as I do. It’s a blessing to have others who understand the love of planning and to be in a space that is not going to judge your decision to spend money on stickers or planner goodies. I had a great time and can not wait for the next meet up in February.
