I’ve been on the hunt for a lightweight foundation to take into Spring and I believe I just may have found it! I wanted to share this NARS Light Reflecting Foundation review with you just in case you were on the market for a new foundation or just curious about what this foundation can do.

First of all, I’m excited that it has a pump! This makeup and skincare hybrid boasts 36 shades and all-day wear. My shade is Macao. The finish of this foundation is very natural with medium coverage. I would not suggest building this up to cover deep scaring as it can look a bit heavy if you pile on the product.

However, on my combination skin, I found that the application of this vegan formula with a buffer brush worked best to really maximize the blurring effect this foundation gives. My acne-prone skin did not breakout from using this foundation (as expected considering the claim on the website that this formula is for acne-prone skin) and it held up well once my oils kicked in. Check out the wear test video below to see what it looks like on my combination-oily skin after several hours.

I also purchased the NARS Light Reflecting powder in the loose formulation. The powder is available in four shades and I picked up the shade Mesa. The powder is light weight and offers a semi-matte finish. The packaging for this powder is also very interesting. It has a mesh sifter that provides more control in terms of powder not getting everywhere, as well as a dual closure that prevents powder leakage. I like the dual closure, but definitely could do without the mesh. The mesh made me feel as if I wasn’t getting the amount of product that I personally prefer.
