Available in 60 shades, this high performance formula was developed with makeup artists in mind and no detail was spared when it comes to the packaging and what the formula has to offer.
The packaging is interesting compared to your standard lipstick tube. It is inspired by a lip brush for precision application. Here’s how it works: Once you place the cap (longer portion) on the bottom of the tube, it feels like you are using a lip brush. Your hands are positioned perfectly in a professional gesture when applying the lipstick. This allows for smooth application and is a great feature if you are new to makeup. The packaging is also very light weight, compared to the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Rouge lipsticks that came out in 2016.
The formula is what stands out to me the most when it comes to the MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist lipstick. It is very smooth, buttery and the color payoff is exceptional. There is also no fragrance. My lips stayed hydrated all day and the color stayed put though meals. It also did not accentuate fine lines, but seemed to provide a blurring effect to my pout, making them look incredibly soft and plump. I will definitely be getting more colors in this formula.
