L’Oreal Air Volume Mascara ($13.99) is a new mega mascara that features a super light whipped formula that creates volume and length for your lashes.
Available in 3 shades, the formula locks in for all-day wear and claims to last up to 24HRS. The large, cushiony bristle brush captures, separates and coats every lash from the root to the tip for thick, full looking lashes. The bristles vary in size across the applicator. The short bristles catch and load lashes that normally would get away with a regular applicator while the long bristles dispense the intensely black formula (I got the blackest black shade) evenly for fully blown out lashes.Â
The packaging for the L’Oreal Air Volume Mascara is very lightweight and unique. Its flattened tube casing features a pink chrome glossy finish. This gives a different look to the mascara and the cap can also serve as a sturdy bottom, allowing you to display this masterpiece with confidence. The formula also claims to be smudge and flake resistant.
The wand on this mascara is big and that’s fine with me because it allows me to move much faster during application. I suggest only applying two coats of this to your lashes as a third coat produced some clumping for me.
The formula dries down rather quickly, considering the texture and does have a slight fragrance to it. However, it left my lashes feeling soft to the touch and felt like I was wearing absolutely nothing on my lashes at all. I had so much lift and volume, that it mimicked false lashes, which I love! Once you get close to the root and work your way up, this mascara will not let you down.
