Give your Spring skincare routine a boost with the new St. Ives Exfoliate and Nourish Oil Scrubs

St. Ives is well known for their popular face scrubs and I myself have been a fan for years. The brand released it’s newest innovation and I’m happy to report that it’s like nothing I’ve ever tried. The St. Ives Exfoliate and Nourish Oil scrubs ($6.94 for 4.32 OZ) combine the power of a cleansing oil with the effectiveness of a scrub. There are two types: Apricot oil and Coconut oil. The two have different levels of exfoliation so it really depends on what you are seeking.

The Apricot oil scrub was the first one I tried. The lush fragrance of Apricot is very light, yet still noticeable once you apply the product. I then decided to try the Coconut Oil scrub and found it to be a much lighter exfoliation than the Apricot. The coconut fragrance is light, but it is a little sweeter than the Apricot. The exfoliants in the Coconut Oil scrub were much finer than the Apricot Oil scrub. As for formula consistency, the Apricot oil scrub had a much denser formula that the coconut oil. Coconut oil usually begins to melt when it comes in contact with my skin and that’s exactly how the formula acted once I applied it.

The suggested use is to apply on dry skin, massage in gently, then apply warm water in circular motions before rinsing. When the warm water is applied, the product emulsifies lightly, turning a milky white color. Do remember that this is not a cleanser, so I would advise to cleanse first, then proceed to use there scrubs. The exfoliation for the Coconut oil scrub was more moderate than the deep exfoliation levels of the Apricot oil scrub.

However, my skin is left baby soft and feeling really refreshed after just one use. There is no oily residue or heavy feeling to the skin. Just clean, smooth skin that’s ready for the day. I am excited to add both of theses innovative products to my skincare routine to make sure my skin is bright and radiant for Spring.
