I talk to my edges because they are fragile and act like they run things and curling up on their own. So I ask them to behave on days when I need them to and set them free on days when I don't require their cooperation. ⁠

I talk to my edges because I put them through a lot, be it wigs or braids, tension hair loss is real. ⁠

I talk to my edges because they tell part of my hair story. They are the beginning, the roots of it all. The "baby hair" so to speak. They respond to my treatment of them and tell the tale of that treatment as they grow.⁠
