MAC Teyana Taylor lipstick A Rose In Harlem ($20) is a limited-edition bright red candy-apple red shade. The formula is the signature matte formula from the brand that is opaque and comfortable. It is very moisturizing and doesn’t dry out the lips.
The box the lipstick comes in is a bright, neon pink with a glitched MAC Teyana Taylor copy paired with her signature. The packaging of the lipstick itself is not a standard MAC bullet, but a neon pink, transparent square case that really plays off the 90s style of packaging and makeup.
The graphite bullet casing for the lipstick can be seen through the case, which I think is rather intriguing. The visuals for this collection are very load and bright, so the packaging is spot on.
The MAC Teyana Taylor lipstick is a classic red that I wish was more of a deep rose tone to go along with the name “A rose in harlem.” However, I do see the need to keep it a bright classic red to make sure it works with the 90s theme. It did have great staying power and did not dry out my lips throughout the day. You can wear this on it’s own or with a lip liner for more intensity. I enjoyed it on it’s own to see just how bright the color was. The square bullet is super easy to hold and I think I’m really loving the shape.
