MAC Dramarama Lipstick & Moody Bloom Lipstick Reviews and Swatches

by Alex Missick

MAC Cosmetics Black Cherry Collection for Spring 2021 is just beautiful. Out of the three lipsticks in this collection, I purchased the MAC Dramarama lipstick and Moody bloom lipstick. The limited-edition moon-bloom packaging is gorgeous with the pink and white sakura blossoms over the matte black packaging complete with metallic rose gold accents.

MAC Dramarama

MAC Dramarama ($20 for 3G / 0.1 OZ) is a vivid pink coral with a creamy, semi-matte finish. The application of the MAC Dramarama lipstick was very smooth and the color is buildable. This formula, while to was comfortable and creamy, did accentuate my fine lip lines. I noticed as it dried, it got less creamy but still comfy.

It held up during eating and left a lovely stain on the lips, almost like a powdery finish. To be honest, I liked that look a bit more than the initial application, and it can be achieved by just applying the lipstick and dapping with a soft tissue.

MAC Moody Bloom

MAC Moody Bloom ($20 for 3G / 0.1 OZ) is a rich, yellow-based red with a semi-matte finish. The application was smooth and the coverage was opaque. It was a bit on the dryer side, but not uncomfortable. This formula wore well throughout the day and did not accentuate any fine lip lines. I’m normally a blue-based red person, but this shade works just fine for spring.
