Fenty Stunna Lip Paint Underdawg ($25) is a long-wear liquid lip color that is super intense yet comfortable all day on the lips. Available in nine shades, the shade “Underdawg” is a rich, deep burgundy that is new to the line and just in time for fall. The formula is weightless and provides an opaque, matte finish that does not dry out your lips.
The packaging for the Fenty Stunna Lip Paints is beautiful, however, if you hate fingerprints, sadly it’s a fingerprint magnet. The thick, glass container holds 0.13fl of product and is very geometric in shape, yet ergonomically satisfying to hold. The formula is not thick at all and does require you to shake the bottle before use, a nod to its fluid texture.
The wand on this is nothing that I have seen before. It is cut at a slant, providing absolute precision during application. It picks up just enough product for a full lip application, so you won’t have to keep dipping back into the main pot.
I wore the Fenty Stunna lip paint underdawg for over eight hours during the day and it did not budge during meals or drinks. Once it dries down, the lips stay smooth and the consistency is not sticky, yet it still has some grip to it when I pressed my lips together.
There was no feathering, however, because of the fluid texture, you’ll have to be more intentional about placement because you can easily come out of your lip line. If this happens, I would suggest applying the Fenty Stunna lip paint before you set your makeup, so that you can clean up with concealer first.
I also found that it is slightly kiss-proof, so I would say once it dries down, press your lips on a kleenex and that should do the trick of getting rid of any excess product around your lip line. Overall, I really enjoyed this formula. It’s always great when you can find a liquid lip formula that lasts and is comfy as the cooler weather approaches!
