Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat in Hot Chocolit Heat and Fenty Glow Heat Review

by Alex Missick

Fenty Beauty has released extended shades of its iconic Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer and Plumper formula. At $22 USD/$28 CAD for 0.3oz, the non-sticky, shimmer-free lip luminizer has an innovative Plump Job Complex giving fuller-looking lips in a comfortable gloss.

Although this shade extension provided three new shades: Hot Chocolit Heat, Fenty Glow Heat and Fu$$y Heat, I only purchased Hot Chocolit Heat and Fenty Glow Heat because Fu$$y heat appeared too much of a muted pink for my taste. There is a fruit-like scent to both of these glosses and they are comfortable to wear all day as the plumping “heat” only lasts a few minutes. I thought that Hot Chocolit would have had a kind of cocoa scent considering the name, but alas, it did not.

Hot Chocolit Heat

Hot Chocolit Heat is described as a sheer rich brown. On my lips, it was a warm nude brown. The coverage is semi-opaque. This shade is more opaque than Fenty Glow Heat and allows some of the natural pink of my lips to show through. This is a very unique shade that’s perfect for fall. You can pair this with a dark brown lip liner of your choice for added dimension.

Fenty Glow Heat

Fenty Glow Heat is described as a sheer rose nude. The coverage was semi-opaque and on my already pigmented lips, this shade looks more like my perfect nude shade as the brown notes came through and the rose shade disappeared. A perfect everyday shade that melted right into my lips.

The extended shade range for the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat collection arrives just in time for the fall season. Although many would prefer lip glosses in the summer, I think the way the brand provided colors that were safely in the nude and brown color categories makes these glosses more practical for year-round wear.
