Can melted and matte work? Absolutely it can with the new Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Longwear Matte Lipstick

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Longwear Matte Lipstick ($21 for 0.4 OZ) is liquified matte lipstick with an ultra creamy formula that really adheres to the lips. I decided to try the color Drop Dead Red, which is a warm, deep mulberry shade in this formula. This lightweight, color-intense formula really blew me away for a liquid lipstick. It dried down to a complete matte finish in about less than a minute. However, I did notice some emphasizing of my lip lines, so wearing a lip primer would be wise. Additionally, it did not hold up very well after eating. It got all over my chin area and I saw it come off on my burger bit by bit. Not much of it was left after lunch, so I had to reapply.

The color itself is very opaque and glides on just as smoothly as a gloss onto the lips. The formulation after drying down did not dry out my lips and was very comfortable, moving along with my lips without shifting itself. There was no smell associated with this formula which I was kind of disappointed about because Too Faced is known for how well they do yummy fragrances, but it may have taken away from the mattifying aspect of the product so I’m OK with it. This unique formulation is infused with Vollulip, for no sting, plumping and smoothing effect, which I am grateful for. It also has avocado and vitamin E oil to moisturize the lips. As for application, the doe-foot applicator allowed a generous amount of this product to be applied so I would be careful with that. I also noticed that this formula has a slight staining to it, so one must be very precise to avoid going outside of the lip lines and staining areas with the product.
