Holy Grail Beauty Products December 2018

by Alex Missick

Just like that, December came and went. It seemed a bit longer that usual, considering the holiday season was super festive this year. However, I do have some new holy grail beauty products that I was loving for the month of December. Comment below if you were loving any of these as well.

L’Oreal Micellar Cleansing Water, $8.99

This complete cleanser does a great job of removing stubborn eye makeup. It’s very gentle and works well on removing waterproof makeup. I enjoyed using this to remove my eye makeup because in the past, I never really was able to remove eyeliner from my water line effectively. This stuff really gets in there and takes everything off leaving me with fresh, makeup free eyes.

COVER FX Blurring Primer, $38

This primer is very light weight on the skin and blurs all of my pores and fine lines. It has a very velvet texture and leaves your skin very smooth and soft. It also utilizes Light Diffusing Technology which help reduce lines and texture in the skin.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Hawkwind, $20

This liquid lipstick is described as a nude sienna, but I’d say its the deeper version of Lolita with a hint of brown. A very comfortable formula to wear, it’s very pigmented and lasts all day.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick, #403, $20

This is by far my favorite red to wear during the holidays and MAKE UP FOR EVER had the perfect formula to accompany it. This is the sexiest red on the planet and the ultra matte formula provides and insane color payoff. Check out this previous post where I swatched a few of the shades.

PUR Cosmetics Midnight Masquerade Face Palette, $26

This palette was my go-to palette all month long especially for the incredibly pigmented blushes and high light shades. I did use the eyeshadows, but the shimmer shades gave a bit of fall out when applied dry. The darker highlight shade I will be hitting pan on in the near future because it’s so rich and the blushes work very well with my dark skin.

Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk, $11.99

This leave-in moisturizer provided instant moisture and life back into my curls during those days when father winter decided to make the air super dry and cold. It quickly and easily absorbed into my tresses making them soft and bouncy.

DUO Brush on Adhesive in Dark, $8.38

If you were looking for an eyelash glue that is no mess, no fuss, look no further. This brush on adhesive has no wait time in terms of drying, and it’s super dark so it’s undetectable on your darkest winged liner. This also comes in a clear shade as well for looks where you need to have it dry down clear. Since I’ve been using the brush on versions, I find that my lashes stay in place longer and do not lift at all during the day.

DERMA E Firming DMAE Eye Lift, $15

This multi action firming eye cream has been really helping smooth my fine lines and my smile lines too! It absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it soft and moisturized.

ELF Cosmetics Daily Defense Makeup Mist, $8

I really like this mist to refresh my makeup throughout the day. It’s also great for taking away any powder finish your makeup may have. This mist provides a nourishing layer of protection against everyday environmental aggressors as well.

I hope you enjoyed this month’s holy grail beauty products. Let me know below if you have tried any of them for yourself.
