SheaMoisture Moringa and Avocado Power Greens ($7.99-$9.99) is a new collection from the brand, promising deep moisture using Moringa and Avocado. This is all starting to sound like my lunch most days, but other powerful greens include Kale, Matcha Tea, and Green Algae.
I purchased the conditioner, shampoo, and reconstructor (deep conditioner) and tested them out during a recent wash day. You see how that went in the video below, but let me give you a quick review of how it all went down.
The Shampoo
This sulfate-free shampoo has a super runny consistency, but it lathers exceptionally well. It left my hair feeling very moisturized as the formula almost allowed me to detangle with it. I really think this was a great way to get things started and replenish the moisture in my hair. My curls felt soft and shiny afterward.
The Conditioner
This was the biggest let down out of the three products from this line in my opinion. I’m grateful for a pump in relation to the packaging, but the formula just did not add the essential slip and moisture that the shampoo did. It claims to improve the manageability of the hair, but it felt like a waste of time. I put it on and waited for the 3 minutes as indicated. However, once I rinsed it out, all of the moisture that my hair gained with the shampoo was sucked out. Leaving my hair coils dry all over again.
The Reconstructor
If I could keep one thing from this line, it would be this product. This deep conditioner has a slightly thick consistency and applies easily to the hair. My tresses soaked this up like a dry plant on a rainy day. It claims to infuse hair fibers with intense moisture, and it did just that. It put the life back into my hair that the previous conditioner took away. After leaving it on for about 30-45 minutes, my curls were very defined and hair felt lightweight and super soft. This will definitely remain a staple in my routine.
