Lately I’ve been obsessed with all things vintage. Especially the 50s. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m on the cusp of turning thirty, but I wanted my first purchase to be an easy one. I fell in love with this Vintage Chic for Top Vintage Boutique called the Brenda Pencil dress in a Magenta color.
The fabric is very comfortable and the ruching in the front helps to conceal any tummy imperfections. The pencil style of the dress is not restricting at all, providing great ease of movement. The back has the same V-Neck design as the front adding a sense of uniformity to the style. The Vintage Chic for Top Vintage line seems to be great for us curvy girls as I had no issues getting in or out of this Brenda Pencil dress.
I paired the dress with a double layer of pearls, pearl earrings and set of gold bangles. I was going to rock some royal purple or violet heels but I stuck with these sling back black ones to be safe. I grabbed my gold and pearl encrusted clutch as an added accessory. As for my hair, I know this dress needed an updo so I attempted some victory rolls on my natural hair but they did not turn out so great. I’ll have to keep practicing. I kept my makeup soft with some bold lashes and bold magenta lip color to match the dress.
