This past weekend, The Bahamas celebrated it’s 44th year of Independence. I wanted to celebrate by wearing a color close to that of our flag. This Dolly and Dotty Honey Yellow dress came close enough to the Gold in the Bahamian flag that represents the sunshine throughout the 700 islands. It’s a very rich honey yellow color and I’m so glad it worked well with my summer tan.
This dress is very light weight and wears really well. However, it did run a bit big on me in the bust area, so I’ll definitely size down next time. I love the little bow detail at the waist and the v-neckline. I do wish that the bow was detachable so that I could have two dresses in one. The fabric is comfortable but definitely needs an iron to it before wear. I added my emerald inspired jewelry pieces just to add a little more color. I think it went well with this Dolly and Dotty honey yellow dress, would you agree? I also had a black cardigan on hand to provide some modesty during Sunday service.
