So my 30th birthday came and went without much fan fair. I had so many previous commitments that I could not even celebrate the day. So I decided to dress up a bit for the Sunday before my birthday in this lovely emerald green Maybelle dress. This two piece set gives the most first lady vibes and I loved it. Although I would not recommend it for the Summer to wear outdoors (it is fully lined), it would be just lovely in the wintertime.
The complete Maybelle set is from a lovely UK based store called Lindy Bop. I received so many compliments on this outfit that I am considering it in another color. I love the fact that I can mix and match this set as the dress is gorgeous on its own and the jacket would look excellent with a black pencil dress.
This lush green twin set has a jacquard material and has some stretch to it. The buttons on the jacket are huge but compliment the style. I decided to wear a little black pill box hat to complete the look. I kept my jewelry simple as always with pearls and a watch. Additionally the dress has a cinched in waist with a bow details to add that special feminine touch.
