Concealers have always been a way for me to contribute to looking awake, as well as to cover any pesky spots from my acne scars that my foundation failed to take care of. I tried the Pat Mcgrath Sublime Perfection Concealer ($32) and I’m exceptionally blown away. Not because I’m a sucker for nice packaging, but because it actually does it’s job to perfection.
This concealer is available in 36 shades and comes in a sturdy glass tube at 0.16oz or 5ml. The doe foot applicator is secured at an angle for maximum coverage. Here are some of the claims:
- Longwearing
- Weightless
- Flexible
- Full coverage
Made in Italy, the formula is both smooth and creamy, yet does have some substance to it as it relates to thickness. It stays exactly where you placed it and is not runny. Blending this out was no issue and it responded well to my fingers moving it around. I have also tried it with a sponge and a brush, but it seemed to respond to the brush better than a sponge. I also found that you don’t need much of this concealer to allow for great coverage. It moves so easily, yet it does not loose its form.
The Pat McGrath Sublime Perfection Concealer is crafted with a Vita-Serum Complex that claims to fight the formation of wrinkles by preserving the hydrolipidic film barrier of the skin. There is also a slight scent to the concealer, but you don’t notice it unless you actually put your nose to the bottle.
I wore this concealer for over six hours and it did not budge. I have combination acne-prone skin so this held up beautifully in the areas below my under-eye. It remained smooth and flawless all day with no signs of movement even after blotting. This concealer did not disappoint and has exceeded my expectations.
