Get Vibrant, long wearing color with Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick ($7.99 for 0.26 fl oz ) comes in 10 richly pigmented shades. This opaque, thick formula gives vibrant, vivid color to the lips. It has a light, floral fragrance (almost perfume like) to it that is not overbearing on the lips. While the formula is thick, it was not uncomfortable to wear and applied very smoothly.

Rebel Red is a vibrant warm toned red
Vivid Violet is a blue based, cool toned violet
Possessed Plum is a darkened plum brown with warm undertones
Berry Boost is a blue based pink color

During application I noticed a cooling sensation or tingling to my lips. The formula is light weight and lasted well over 8 hours and through meals. Unfortunately, the matte claim is non-existent. I wore them for over 10 hours and they never dried down to a matte finish. They remained in that glossy, vibrant state the entire time. If Maybelline removed the word “matte” from the name, these would be a perfect representation of their title. The long applicator picks up a generous amount of product, which can cause you to place too much product on the lips, but allows you to complete the application without having to really dip back into the tube. Additionally, I found that Rebel Red and Berry Boost did leave a stain to the lips, that was actually rather beautiful, like a kind of flush to your natural lip color. I would say the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte liquid lipstick wore more like a long wearing lipstick with the feeling of an opaque gloss. If you want the ease of a liquid lipstick, but the look of a non-sticky gloss through out the day, then these are perfect for you. The Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick will soon be popping up at your local drugstore beauty retailers so look out for it.
