Get dramatic length and lift with Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara ($9.49 for 0.33 fl oz) is the newest addition to The Falsies collection. The packaging is vibrant and stunning. It had me fooled as I assumed at first that this would be dual ended mascara (it is not). This mascara claims to give volume and lift to the lashes by scooping and cupping them with it’s innovative push up cup type brush applicator.

While the cup shaped ends of the wand are interesting, the tapered end of the plastic applicator made it rather difficult to reach my inner lashes that are shorter. This mascara comes in waterproof and non-waterproof formulas as well as three colors: very black, blackest black and brownish black. During application, my lashes were lifted and curved with a natural amount of volume. While a little messy, this mascara definitely delivered on length and really made my bottom lashes stand out more than they usually do.

This mascara wore well for over 8 hours with no flaking or smudging and was not heavy on the lashes at all. I did notice a strong bitter smell to the mascara, but this did not translate to my lashes. The formulation is smooth and creamy, yet semi thick and dries rather quickly. I would make sure not to let this dry between coats as it did start to get clumpy when I did so.
