Maybelline is getting the girls ready for Summer 2022 with their release of the new Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink liquid lipsticks. This long-lasting lip colour comes in 10 budge-resistant shades with up to 16-hour wear. I picked up two shades from the collection: Coy and Cheeky.
The formula is very comfortable and lightweight. It does take some time to dry down completely, I’d say a good 2-3 minutes.
I actually enjoyed this formula. It has a subtle vanilla scent to it. The colour does not run or shift at all through the day and there is no need to reapply even after food. Of the two I have tried, Coy is my favourite. This is no surprise as it is a dust, rose mauve shade, and I love a good mauve! It’s a great everyday colour if you want to add a bit of pink to your pout. The applicator is long, slanted and narrow so you don’t miss a spot.
As for Cheeky, it is absolutely my perfect rose nude, but I do find myself adding a brown lip liner just to ensure some definition on the lips when I decide to wear this shade, blotted down or at full opacity.
I would recommend making sure you shake this product before wear to get maximum results. I also suggest if you don’t want opaque colour, start with one layer and blot with a tissue because once this dries, it’s on all day!
