Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer ($27 for 1 FL OZ) is a moderate to full coverage foundation that offers a natural matte finish. The foundation is a light weight, oil-free formula that blends smoothly over the skin. It’s not runny and thin, but it’s thick enough to be moved around fairly easily.
The packaging is excellent. I love me a good pump, however, this jumbo doe-foot applicator made applying this foundation super easy and without the mess. It’s also a plus when the bottle gets empty so that you can scrape out every drop of product. I chose the shade 26 amber, which is a deep shade with neutral undertones. I think it’s a fairly good match, but if I had to pick another color, it would probably be golden.
As for wear time, this foundation wore well for over 8 hours. I have combination-oily and acne prone skin. I did get some fading in my T-Zone area but nothing really that you could notice if you were not looking. It’s a good everyday foundation and the price point is decent. I would not wear this if I was going for a super glam finish because it definitely is too natural for that effect. However, you can wear this all day and not feel anything heavy or cakey on the skin and that’s always awesome!
