Super nourishment and bold color for the winter with Burt’s Bees Russet River Lipstick
Burt’s Bees Russet River Lipstick ($8.99 for 0.12 oz) is a 100% naturally moisturizing lipstick that is just in time for Winter. The packaging is very unique and features a tall rectangle case with the swatch of the lipstick shade as a back splash to a cute honey comb overlay. Burt’s Bees Russet River lipstick applied smoothly and felt very creamy on the lips without looking heavy. It’s very moisturizing with a satin finish. It feels mostly like a balm on the lips in terms of comfort. As for pigmentation, it had semi opaque color that could be built up to full coverage. The color lasted through lunch and snacks, but had to be reapplied after dinner. I did notice that while it was comfortable to wear, I was always aware of it’s presence on my lips. This may be where it is too moisturizing. It seemed to have a weight to it on the lips, like if you put on too much lip balm. While there is a slight fragrance to it, when being applied it glided onto the lips with no pulling or tugging. With 14 shades to choose from, this lipstick formula also boasts:
