Let’s go glamping with BOXYCHARM September 2016
BoxyCharm is a monthly subscription box ($21 per month) that offers four to five full size beauty and skincare products with a value of up to $100 for each box. The brands included in each box range from established to new on the market brands. Also, each month, the box has a theme and for BoxyCharm September 2016, it’s all about glamping! Glamping is basically heading out into the great outdoors and having products that can cater to your beauty needs away from home.
This product is described as a smoothing yogurt hair masque that consists of quinoa, yogurt protein, prebiotics, and a botanical blend of oils and bio-keratin. The smell of the hair mask is very fruity, so it should be a delight to use. The texture is smooth and not greasy considering the oils that are listed the ingredients. My only concern is that on the ingredient list, cetearyl alcohol is second, and for curly hair, any kind of alcohol can dry it out. I’ll still give it a try and see how my coils handle it.
Studio Makeup “On-The-Go” Palette, $49.95
This palette is a great for anyone beginning their eyeshadow journey. There are nine really neutral shades that can create nice day to night looks. As for textures, there are four shimmer shades and five matte shades. Unfortunately, when I received this palette, the black matte shade was broken. This shadows are pigmented, soft and buttery. I think this is also a great palette for fall especially the metallic orange shade. My only disappointment with this palette is that there is not mirror. Considering this is an “On-the-Go” palette, a mirror would have been a convenient addition, especially for the price tag.
PUR Cosmetics Lip Lure, Mystic, $22
This opaque lip lacquer is a very interesting product. This is a liquid lipstick that has a very thick consistency and is comfortable on the lips. The flocked, shower-head applicator distributed this creamy product evenly and provided full coverage on the lips. The pen-like packaging makes it great for travel and it’s turn and click dispensary really keeps the product fresh. The shade in the BoxyCharm September 2016 box is called Mystic – a warm, berry shade that’s perfect for Fall.
butterLONDON Nail Lacquer, Yummy Mummy, $15
This pigmented nail lacquer is vitamin enriched to promote nail strength and consistent coverage. The shade, Yummy Mummy, is a cool tone beige color with a dash of shimmer. The opacity and coverage of this nail lacquer is exceptional as I got full coverage with just one coat. The butterLONDON formula also boasts the following benefits among others:

Hikari Cosmetics Eye Liner, Raven, $13
This up and coming brand has released one of the blackest eyeliners I have seen this year. The mechanical liner is opaque, black and very smooth. I like that it can twist up so that you don’t waste product. This liner does not dry down very fast so if you want to do a smokey eye look, you can easily smudge this liner for the perfect effect. I do wish that they had put the name of the shade on the actual product and not just on the box itself.
The BoxyCham September 2016 box is filled with travel friendly makeup, nail and hair products that can definitely work for all your glamping needs. I would have liked to have seen a travel brush set included in this box or maybe even those trendy sheet masks. What did you think of September’s box?
