My skincare journey started back in high school when I started getting acne in the 8th grade. I never realized how important a routine was until my late 20s. Here is my current 6 step morning skincare routine for my combination, oily, acne-prone skin. Yes, there is a lot going on there, but so far I am enjoying this routine because it has simple products that work hard to add moisture to my skin keeping me looking refreshed and awake throughout the day. Check out the video below to see my 6 step morning skincare routine in action.
Step 1: Cleanse with the Fresh Beauty Peony Brightening Foam Face Cleanser.
Step 2: Tone with the Fresh Beauty Rose Deep Hydration Toner.
Step 3: Add any extra topical medication I may be using and follow up with the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright eye creme.
Step 4: Moisturize with the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense hydration to provide long term hydration.
Step 5: I follow up that moisture with more moisture from the Biossance Squalane and Tea Tree balancing oil. I really enjoy the balancing oil has it was designed for oily/combo acne prone skin by helping to control excess oils.
Step 5: I can not forget about my lips! I currently use the Farmacy Beauty Honey Butter Beeswax lip balm. It works great at moisturizing and conditioning the lips without feeling greasy. It is also formulated with a blend of honey, cupuaçu and cocoa butters, and superfood oils.
