Melt Cosmetics Catsuit ($19 for 0.11oz) is a rich,warm chocolate with plum undertones. It comes in the Melt Cosmetics popular ultra-matte formula that is very comfortable to wear. The packaging is a light weight matte black tube that is prone to scratches but is soft to the touch. There was no tugging or pulling during the application of this lipstick and the color was very opaque. Although described as an ultra-matte finish, the texture of this lipstick was very creamy, soft, and bit tacky once I pressed my lips together. It never dried down to a complete matte finish and held up well past 8 hours maintaining opacity through eating and snacks. I did notice that this color accentuated fine lines in the lips so you must exfoliate before wearing. I think that Melt Cosmetics Catsuit is the perfect lip color for those looking to rock something other than the usual purples and dark plums this fall and winter. It’s a unique shade that will definitely be the cat’s meow in any collection.
