Coastal Scents Fairy Fuchsia Palette ($12.95) is a new twelve pan palette that is described as a “specially chosen array of neutral and fuchsia toned eyeshadows…exemplify grace with a colorful bouquet of a majestical garden.” I would say that this palette does have neutral and mauve tones, but I think the fuchsia and colorful colors are missing. I was excited when I saw the packaging of the palette and expected tons of pinks and bright purples with dazzling golds to greet me. Unfortunately, I was met with mauve, gray undertones that would be better suited for the fall season.
The eyeshadows in the Coastal Scents Fairy Fuchsia Palette are pigmented, with the exception of one of the brownish-gray colors being a bit chalky. They applied nicely to the eyelid and blended well. The eyeshadows are also buildable and can be applied wet or dry depending on the intensity required. The packaging is standard cardboard packaging and is travel friendly in size. However, I do wish there was a mirror in the palette to make it more practical for on the go use.
I do think this palette is perfect for the working professional because the colors are so muted that they will do well for workplace makeup. I am hoping to see more palettes released from Coastal Scents this season, but with more flare and fun for the summer.
