Get ready to sparkle and shine with the new BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette ($52 for 0.72 OZ) is a limited edition collaboration extension between BECCA Cosmetics and YouTube Makeup Artist, Jaclyn Hill. Mrs. Hill collaborated with BECCA Cosmetics on the original Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector and due to the overwhelming response to that product, this collection was born. This particular item is the largest in the five piece collection, boasting two mineral blush shades, one luminous blush and two highlighter shades. All five shades are new and can be mixed and matched to create a custom glow for the summer or just a pop of color.

  • Champagne Pop- Described as a soft white gold with pink undertones
  • Prosecco Pop- Described as a medium warm gold
  • Rose Spritz- Described as a soft peachy pink with pale gold shimmer
  • Amaretto- Described as a matte toasted almond, but I would say it’s a semi-matte pale brown with pink undertones  (reminds me of Swiss Miss hot chocolate in color)
  • Pamplemousse- Described as a matte, warm coral pink

The packaging is clean and crisp with a bit of weight to it’s mirrored body. There is a large mirror on the inside which is perfect for traveling. The names of the products are on a clear liner and on the back of the palette. I would have loved to have seen the names embossed inside the palette above or below the item instead of the liner. There is no scent to any of the product and they all have a creamy consistency and are smooth to the touch.

As far as the products are concerned, I think BECCA has a wonderful formulation for their highlighters and blushes. Unfortunately for this palette, Amaretto can act as more of a “my skin but better” eyeshadow and not a blush. It does not show up on my cheeks but gives a pretty sheen to the lids so I will be using it for that purpose. Pamplemousse is a lovely coral that shows up very pigmented on my skin tone. I topped it with Rose Spritz directly on the cheeks and the two colors blended together was beautiful. Prosecco Pop melts into the skin and is Topaz’s light skinned sister. While it does give a nice glow, it’s more on the subtle side and can be built up. I’m also happy with Champagne Pop. While a light hand is needed, I think it would be better suited for the winter time on my skin tone.
